It was a cool Autumn day on your departure date. As you enter the carriage heading north from Traverse, you all couldn’t be more excited to be embarking on your first dungeon. For some of you, this moment has been 20 years in the making since the Resurgence first swept through the lands, others this is an opportunity to change your life. Your mentor, Robert Dobalina, gave your party some parting words of wisdom “Stay together, gather your intel, and never expect anything to go to plan,” as he handed a bag of 200gp to be split amongst you along with your bounty reading, “Ezan Timber’s Portal #067 - Threat Level: Bronze” The scout report is relatively short “Large forested area roughly 1 mile in diameter. Largely inhabited by goblins. A Large Stone Door stands locked opposite of the portal’s entrance. Portal poses little threat, however, two Lumber Mill workers disappeared shortly after it opened.” The bounty is signed off by Scout Jacques.

You traveled for 4 days, heading up the northward path through the Graystone region. As you all passed through the Graystone Ridge, you noticed drop in temperature, and as you drew closer to the Zenosian border, snow began to fall. It was the first time any of you have left Vlenor since recruited by the Dungeoneers. The border guards quickly noticed your bronze emblems on your persons, reviewed your bounty, and you were quickly ushered on the Northwest road towards Timberridge. As the light of the day slowly wanes, you began to see the glow from the town of Timberridge, soon, your careers as Dungeoneers officially begins.

You find yourselves in Pine’s Inn, a local lodging in Timberridge, as you determine your next moves.

Important Intel:

  1. A wife of one of the Mill workers named Sarah Stocker pleads with the party to find her husband whether he is dead or alive. She offers a reward if the party can find anything about her husband.
  2. Scout Jacques resides in town and can offer more information, including that 2 dungeoneering groups attempted to go in already, but failed because they couldn’t get the door open. The door seems to be the important part. It says to find someone named Daggery, but none of the parties could find anyone but goblins. He also warns how time moves differently in dungeons. What may feel like days in the Dungeons may only be a few hours in the real world.
